View from my easel in the kitchen studio

Couldn't ask for more beautiful weather this afternoon after a dull morning.
Above me from where I've taken this photo is a lovely mum blackbird sitting on her nest in the wisteria only a few feet above us as we pass in and out of the kitchen. Can't wait to see her babies as they fledge.
Never ceases to amaze me as to why they put their nests directly above the daily route used by our 4 dogs , you can imagine the anxiety I have to go through trying to ensure the birds safety as they drop out of the nest!
