Black Redstart
One of the many small birds flitting around the bushes came into the open. It's not the best of shots, but at least it's a bird I haven't been able to capture before. Some other closer shots were rather poor owing to poor light, shadow and contrast. I'm still waiting to knowingly catch the nightingale which I enjoyed listening to the other night at 2 a.m. The Black Redstart by contrast makes a noise which is truly reminiscent of two ball bearings being ground together - as it says in the book. It's a bit better looking maybe.
