Daffs

My daffs have been amazing and beautiful this spring....a joy to view.  So, why would I not photograph them more - lazy/tired/leave for another day.
Yesterday and overnight we had 38mm of rain, and now the daffs are destroyed, a shame but the rain was sorely needed.

This morning oldTimer (she will return to blip, she said) and I were to judge the photography part of the South Island Spring Daffodil Show here in Timaru.  The display of daffs were amazing, some traditional, others looking more like camelias or peonies.
Anyhoo, back to the judging....hilarious, when we finally got ushered to where the prints were on display there was another lady doing the judging, we laughed but couldn't do anything about it, she had already given her awards (which we really didn't agree with)....we put our two bobs worth in for the remaining two catagory's whether she took our advise we don't know....we left her to it and wandered around viewing the daffs (see extra).  So funny, it didn't worry me, the photography was very ordinary and below par we both thought.

So I came home and have had a quiet afternoon and we've just finished a Facetime with Lexi.  She's doing well with her broken wrist it seems.  School holidays over with her.
