Sulking

That’s the title Degas gave to this mysterious, enchanting painting, now hanging at the Met in the newly arrived “Manet/Degas” show. I’ve never seen this one before, never even heard of it. The show was filled with wonders, familiar and unfamiliar, but it was VERY crowded.
