end-of-season Canal Event

Mentioned a few days ago that the Edinburgh Union Canal Society was having an end-of-season event today - all to mark the (near) conclusion of our rowing-boat hire year ... which runs on Sunday afternoons from April through to September; we've got one final, regular session tomorrow!

Pleased to report that all went really well throughout today - sold all of our home-baked cakes; along with an awful lot of teas & coffees; had a very successful raffle; and hired-out six boating-slots :-)

Been a good first-year, after a break of over a decade, since folk were last able to hire traditional rowing-boats locally.
