Saint Martin

Well here we are in the beautiful Ile de Re, France. It’s calm here, the only significant sounds are the buzz of people chatting over meals, gentle music and bicycles being ridden along the cobbled streets.

It feels a million miles from the craziness of Gatwick Airport with its over crowded lounges and departure gates where we spent a little longer than we’d hoped to yesterday.

Last night we stayed in a small hotel overlooking this harbour and enjoyed the most delicious breakfast. We are now in an apartment in the old town of Saint Martin and have been exploring the streets locating the boulangerie, market and other such things.
