New project

I managed to get Bonnie settled down after her lunch so that I could make a start on my next quilt. I know I haven’t finished the existing one, but it’s my son’s fortieth birthday in January and he would love me to surprise him with the quilt he keeps wishing for. It’s a collection of his favourite old T shirts so I’m going to make a memory quilt for him. Quite a simple layout with colourful sashing in between. The problem with T shirts is the fabric stretches as you sew, so I have bonded the backing to the wadding to give a firm surface to stitch it to. So far so good, and if Bonnie can give me the occasional hour to get on with it January should be achievable!
