Constance Barnicoat..

...a remarkable woman ahead of her time.
A first for me as I attended a book launch by author and friend Annabel Schuler who had taken five years to produce a book about locally born Constance Barnicoat.
Constance was a female journalist in a mans world and was not only successful but has left a big impression after all these years.
The Richmond Library room that was used is called "The Constance Barnicoat Room" and part of the range of hills behind Richmond is "The Barnicoat Range".

A pleasant Spring day but cool enough in the evening to light the log burner!
