I do miss my days out at the Keighley and Worth Valley and the East Lancashire Railways.

Today, there was a gala at the Rhyl Miniature Railway so I nipped over to see what was going on. It was very busy with lots of families taking the trains around the Marine Lake and browsing the stalls and other attractions such as a traditional Punch and Judy show. 

Whilst I was there I saw five miniature steam locomotives and one diesel loco in operation. The one pictured is "Billie" which was built in 1922 and initially operated on the  Dreamland Miniature Railway in Margate. It was bought by the Rhyl Steam Preservation Trust in 2022.
