Car show
Saturday
It was a cool start to the day, but soon warmed up to another sunny warm day. We got out for a walk around lunchtime at Rowe Woods. We decided since it has been dry for so long, we would do the Red wing trail, which can be muddy at the best of times, and we don’t usually even try it in winter, unless the ground is frozen, or Spring. As expected, it was as dry as a bone today, and as we were nearing the end of the trail, at what is often one of the muddiest areas, we discovered they are putting a new length of boardwalk in, which is great news!
After our walk, we returned home for a cup of tea, then later in the afternoon went to the car show in Montgomery, where there were a good number of old and classic cars, from a model T Ford to the latest McLaren, with all sorts in between, lots of old Chevrolets, lots of Corvettes of different ages, and a few British classic cars, including an old, but very smart Morris Minor. Most of them were in excellent condition, shiny paintwork, chrome and wheels, and under the hood/bonnet. The owners must sink a huge amount of money into them - one of them had a sticker on the top of the windscreen, saying MoneyPit!
