History

Tia is the Chair of the Durham Historical Society and their building and museum, the Union Church, is in need of repairs and restoration. I can relate to their struggle both financially and in community volunteers. I support their efforts and in such, BJ and I went to Durham tonight to bid on a few silent auction items and to hear Tia’s speech on the history of Durham.

It was both insightful and entertaining. The entire committee did a great job with this fund raiser. They raised nearly $3000 and this money will go a long way toward restoration and grand reopening of their museum.
