The Bridge

Those of you who watched the drama 'The Bridge' last year will recognise this. The Oresund bridge connects Copenhagen in Denmark with Malmo in Sweden. A body was found in the middle with half in Sweden and half in Denmark. The subsequent drama involved detectives from Sweden and Denmark cooperating to track down a serial killer. It's well worth watching if you missed it and a sequel is apparently due this Autumn.

This bridge apparently cost $6 billion and is listed as one of the ten most expensive single objects in the world. It cost the same as the Large Hadron Collider. The toll is so expensive that initially no-one used it but now it is a vital link.

Because the return toll would have cost about £140 for our motorhome, we went over to Malmo for the day by train and bus. Malmo was a nice town but isn't really a tourist destination yet although I suspect that will change.

The picture was taken from the beach in Malmo. There are remarkably few places that you can get a clear view of the bridge. The view from the bus on the way back was also good

Finally, good news. I have got my camera lens fixed. It now proudly sports a new protective filter and appears to be undamaged. A very good camera shop here in Copenhagen cleaned the front element for me and checked it over.
