York - day 2

Nice breakfast this morning - do prefer a buffet so that I can choose what fruits etc to have, but everything was served to the table here.  Very filling.  We set off for a wander round as Big Sis was leaving at lunchtime.  Ended up at a Medieval Town House called Barley Hall.  We had coffee in the courtyard, and then went to have a look around.  Small but interesting with a fascinating history (extra)  Then walked around the Shambles, saw a fire eater (always scare me!) and the umbrella decorations (main photo).  Back to the hotel for lunch - I was still full from breakfast!  Manager decided we would be better with a bottle of prosecco rather than just a glass - aaargh! Very nice though!  Sorted out a Tapas restaurant for this evening.  It was really good and super staff. It was also a sherry tasting bar, but after one Spritz I was done and couldn't face sherry - next time, maybe!  Selection of dishes - all really tasty. Nice wander back to the hotel with lovely lights reflected in the river.
