Chateaux and Sauternes

A perfect afternoon.

After sailing to Cadillac during lunch, we spent the afternoon exploring the area. First we visited the Chateau de Roquetaillade which has been in the same family for eight generations.

Then we headed off to the Sauternes area where we tasted some of this fabulous (and expensive) sweet wine. Pricey but very special.

Edit : The company is Noble Caledonia and the chaos yesterday occurred because both the guides in charge had to deal with a major medical emergency at the airport. Fortunately, the man received immediate help and has been able to travel home today. This company is terrific and I was surprised because this is so rare for them. They’ve more than made up for I today which is why I’m recommending them.
