status report
Thank you for all the good wishes yesterday, madam appears to be much better but is staying up on top of the wardrobe in case I take her back to the vets. She clearly hasn't heard how much the bill is for out of hours emergency weekend treatment! Hey intake is almost back to normal, so once I see some output as well I'll be reassured, she really worried me yesterday.
Sunday today so church first thing, next week is harvest festival, already!
What an autumnal day today, really wild squally wind at times. The morning was very mild and pleasant, but you just knew that the rain was hiding round the corner. There have been some wonderful colours in the sky but now, it's pitch dark outside. That wonderful description of darkness in Llaregyb from Dylan Thomas in Under Milkwood comes to mind - it was about Spring, but applies equally 6 months later.
"It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent and the hunched, courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboatbobbing sea."
We had our double jabs today, in my case both in the same arm without suggesting otherwise, Colin however, sitting 3 metres away was told that wasn't advised and had them in different arms.
All good so far, I'm a great believer in prophylactic ibuprofen!
Hope the wind dies down or I'm in for a restless night.
