DERELICTION IN THE BACK LANE.

Did some more tidying/sorting/chucking out ... in the utility room today.  Still have a bit more to do but I think ( maybe ) the end is in sight.

At 4.30pm I settled down to listen to the footie on the radio. It was being shown live on Sky .... but unfortunately I don't have Sky. ( I will watch the highlights on Match Of The Day 2 later ) Newcastle were playing away at Sheffield United.

I did think Newcastle would be the better team but they proved to be far and away MUCH better .  When I tell you that the final score was Sheff Utd 0 --- Newcastle 8 you will certainly agree.  The match was amazing.  Newcastle made top flight history by having eight different goalscorers - the most seen in any single Premier League fixture. It was also the club’s biggest ever away win and equalled their biggest ever Premier League win. 

The general  consensus was that Sheffield  United  were " hapless " and ...  "they gave one of the most shameful, inept home performances in Premier League history."  Totally true.  The Sheffield  fans must have been in a bad mood as after Newcastle's third goal some of them threw bottles at the Newcastle players on the pitch and one of them hit Newcastle's Anderson on the leg.  Scenes like that are not acceptable and Sheff Utd may receive a sanction. Unsurprisingly Sheff Utd find themselves at the bottom of the Premiership table .. and there is talk of their manager getting the sack.

Short of blip inspiration today so I popped into the back lane to take a couple of shots showing some of the rusty and broken objects which can be found there. Thanks to Marlieske for hosting the Derelict Challenge

Ive added an Extra.  It shows a few of the participants in the annual Druridge Bay Skinny Dip which took place today and raises money for charity.  My Slimming World Consultant Lisa is on the far left.  She loves swimming in the sea and does it all year long. Amazing. It doesn't appeal to me at all.... the North Sea is tooooo cold.
