Feastival

Today the main shopping street in St Albans, St Peter's Street, was closed to traffic to make space for the "St Albans Feastival".  The street was full of street food kiosks;  you could travel the world in food with cuisines from all around the globe.  It was a very popular event, with crowds attending.  Fortunately the forecast rain did not materialise and most of the stalls seemed to be doing good business. The smells were certainly enticing.

My blip is of a common sight this afternoon - not very sharp, but I thought it captured the essence of the event.

We had eaten before coming, so we managed to resist temptation to sample the many good looking plates of food, but we did come away with a couple of excellent cakes from a bakery stall.
