Entrance to Mycenaean tomb at Katakalou

Highlight of our day for me was a visit to this Tholos tomb from Mycenaean age. We went inside to see the Tholos (domed funeral chamber). They've put a large construction in to support the whole dome. Not good for photographing... But at least we saw it.

We started our tour of the day by looking at the remains of a castle high on a hill. No good road towards it so we decided our look from downstairs was good enough.

We enjoyed some lovely views, saw more closed churches and had lunch at and a stroll though a nice town. Another lovely day out.
