I hope the cables are in better condition.

Spotted this on our afternoon Biskit walk.  It’s on the corner of the cemetery facing the road.  I must have seen it a few times, but it hadn’t sunk in that it’s a very old GPO cable joint marker.  No sign of it on the ground.
 
Another bit of Rippingale dereliction that I had thought didn’t exist.
 
I’m not sure if this works in mono, but I set out to do a MonoMonday shot, so what the heck, even if it’s not on theme.  Colour version at extra.
