Fernie Fun

Today we did the Fernie Hunter Trials as a pair. Eva was really nervous. It was very busy so we struggled to warm up (she just wanted to get off!) and she still wasn't convinced she wanted to do it as we were being held at the start line. Buddy was really fired up so I was struggling to keep him under control as well as persuade Eva if was all going to be ok! 

Anyway the first few fences were a bit sticky and Eva wasn't riding up behind me so I had to jump a couple of them twice to get her over them. At one point she said she just wanted to walk it (!!) Which isn't possible with another team coming up behind. She just froze. Anyway something kicked into gear in her head about half way through and off she went and by the end we she had a massive smile on her face which is all its really about. Obviously we were eliminated for errors on the course but who cares! The boys were absolutely awesome! Jack is just mega and looks after her no matter what.
