September 25
This hydrangea was in a client's garden today, it starts out white and as the blooms age they change to a deep pink, this one is almost red. We planted over 200 bulbs today, dwarf iris, muscari, hyacinth, narcissus and alliums. The deer visit regularly so I didn't bother planting tulips or crocus.
We still have sunshine in the forecast for the next 7 days. High temperatures are 18 - 22 C, so slightly above normal. We often have the best weather in mid to late September and into early October.
