Duckling!

Finally the ducklings have arrived on the millpond. Jo reports there were 7, but there are only 3 left today. I know it's not a great shot, only had my Lumix with me, but will take my Nikon tomorrow for a better shot.

Poor effort this year tho, last year there were 3 or 4 broods. From what I've seen via Blipland, there are plenty of cygnets but not so many ducklings. That's hardly scientific I know, but I hope that's not an indication that the breeding levels are down.
