Waiting

Looked like a day of rain, but after lunch it gave up and turned out reasonably sunny. I'm keeping an eye on Storm Agnes but it doesn't look good, though some maps show it coming slightly later and slightly further south than originally suggested. Let's hope it does a U-turn and disappears!

CalMac are still showing the Islay ferry route as 'Be Aware!', but I noticed that the earlier sailing of 7.30am, which is fully booked, has been changed to 7.00, suggesting that they think it might beat the storm by leaving earlier! I think we'll get down to the terminal by 6am at the latest, to join the queue just in case there's a space. This will mean leaving home around 4am! If there's no space, we'll wait for our booked 1pm ferry and if that's cancelled, we come home!

So today's Blip is another plant from the garden, always good as an EB! This is Fuchsia 'Bernisser Hardy', a hybrid of Fuchsia magellanica var. molinae and F. regia. The flowers are quite small, but have more body than its F. magellanica parent. It was registered in 1987.

Early night tonight, I think!
