Who's that up there?

In preparation for a projected raptor shoot near Huntly this month, I have started practising handheld with a long lens: 400mm. It's so hard for me to hold it even reasonably still, but this slightly worried Swallow was away on the telephone lines beyond our garden, so I'm reasonably pleased with the result - though it is not sharp and the sky is grainy. I've cropped heavily, but no attempt at trying to improve in computer - still learning there.

Still, I have hopes when it comes to the raptors - they are so much bigger. But I could borrow someone's steadier hands!
