Windflower

I read today that anemones open to face the sun during the day and that fairies nap in the downturned blossoms, flitting away when the sun's rays persuade the flowers to reach skyward again. That must be true because they are enchanting and the best thing left in the garden at the moment. This may be my last blip of anemones this season, with autumn  now rolling in quite fast.

The stamens are quite tiny and gangly. Thanks JDO.
