Yarlsholf

Another day filled with archaeology! First stop was Yarlsholf (main and first extra), prehistoric and Norse settlement. An amazing site and another that I have heard and read so much about before but never had the chance to visit. After a picnic lunch, we headed to Sumburgh Head and the lighthouse (second extra). It was very windy, so not a day for staying long in such an exposed location. We then went onto Old Scatness, broch and Iron Age village (extra). We had a tour booked and thoroughly enjoyed seeing over this wonderful site.
