Prepping for winter

During winter the horses move onto rough ungrazed hillside. Standing hay. 

As they have mostly been eating baled hay all spring and summer, I am starting to open up areas of grass to them. This will get their digestive system slowly prepared rather than a sudden change. You can see where I've moved the inner fence line a few days ago.

With the move to the hillside comes a rest from poo picking and filling haynets (still feeling a bit guilty about that) ... But where they move, it's impossible to get hay to or dispose of poop. 

It'll be a nice break for myself and Gorgeous especially with the lack of daylight
