Filkin's Drift

A fantastic night out.  

A folk gig in the foyer and bar area at The Magic Lantern.  Fifty or so locals crammed in to hear uplifting guitar and fiddle music and song from this very talented duo. After a summer performing at Folk Festivals, Chris and Seth are on tour ... on foot.  Walking the Wales Coastal Path, carrying their instruments and performing in places they pass through en route.  800 miles, over 40 gigs.   A link here to find out more about them   

Otherwise it ended up being a work day after a call to cover at Aber cafe after an emergency at home called one of my colleagues away.   The timing was tricky at the end of the day as the gig was an early evening event.  Tired after a late one last night I had a fifteen minute nap on the sofa after getting home ... and then had to jump up and set off to collect Mum and Chris who were coming along too.  The evening was so uplifting that all tiredness and worries were forgotten for a while :-)
