Did He or Didn't He?

Surpringly it was a warm afternoon in the sun for Arlo's afternoon walk. Talking of surprises, as he was having a run about, he darted off, apparently in the direction of these sheep that had come in to view up the hill in the distance, but after a whistle or two, he came running back never having reached them, so the big question is did he see them and was off to "work" (be a pain in the ...) or not, I will never know! But he came back...
