Let sleeping dogs lie?

Ran into my neighbour this morning as I set out for a walk. She'd just come back through the trail with her dog Fergie and another she's dogsitting, Mac. While we chatted, Fergie enjoyed a few minutes rest in the sun. All kinds of grassy soft spots around, and Mac chose one of those over the road. I liked how Fergie sacked out on a less than comfortable place (in my opinion, anyway).
