Bethany's School Sports Day!

Having one of the best sleeps in ages this morning after another bust nightshift, I jumped up quickly remembering I had watch see Bethany compete in her Schools Sports Day ( 50mile away) quick wash, shave & dressed, camera threw into back of car, hit the Motorway, avoid Sheep & their lambs on the country roads, got there at 1:15 pm ( it was to start at 1pm) parked the car in one if the teachers spaces ( who cares eh!)
Run around the back of the school, try and located my daughter from the crowd, ah ha! I see here looking cold ( it was a overcast day) with her arms folded across her chest, not looking excited at all!

I slowly approached her group, got to within a few feet ( trying to manoeuvre behind the other parents) when the biggest Smile appeared all over her face, nothing was said, but a blind person could have read her face... My Daddy's Here!! : )

Her group was doing sets of 10 skipping with a rope, I ask her.. Where's your trainers? Oh, I didn't bring them, these old shoes are faster!!! ( aye perhaps if you were in a race, but no races were done today)
She stood by my side once she had done her activity ( and there was 10 in total) once the games were over, we went to the local cafe for something to eat & get a catch up on what's been happening at School, then she asks, Dad, what surprise have you got for us this weekend? Lets wait till Friday evening, then we can decide what you want to do, ok! Sure Dad, that'll be just fine, oh can we got to a indoor play area? We'll see Bethany, we'll see : )

Now going try and get an hours sleep before work, it's been an exhausting day! lol

Oh can't wait till morning when I can sleep for Scotland yippee! ; )
