What an awful day

Really heavy rain a lot of the time. Very dark and gloomy inside.
At Fareshare, I’ve never seen so little food to send out. Terrible. As it’s a warehouse, there is shelving going up to over 20 feet, where huge consignments of long life foodstuffs like cereals and pasta are normally stored right up to the ceiling. These are empty. What we mainly seemed to have to send out today was coffee, tea, and somewhat overripe bananas - also crisps :(
To add to the gloom our evil home secretary says that being lesbian or gay should not mean you are allowed to be a refugee, despite it being illegal and punishable by death or life imprisonment in the places such refugees come from. Or you might be attacked, injured or killed by your fellow citizens who feel righteous. I cannot believe the lurch to the extreme right that is happening here and I feel sick at heart.
