Prestongrange Parish Church Gardens

We spent the afternoon in Prestonpans catching up with my sister and brother-in-law.    

The church was built in 1596, one of the first to be built after the Scottish Reformation in 1560.  A statue of Colonel James Gardiner stands in the church grounds.  He was mortally wounded at the  1745 Battle of Prestonpans.
