After the bloods
My annual oncologist appointment is on 16th October and I was at the hospital today for the blood test that's always scheduled for two to three weeks before that. It was all very quick with hardly any waiting. When I came back out I was greeted by these irresistible shadows.
The timing couldn't be better. I'd been with my GP a week before, bringing each other up to date with my various ailments. He was a bit worried about blood pressure and organised a 24-hour BP monitor for me a couple of days afterwards. He phoned this morning to say that the results were generally good and wished me a pleasant holiday — we're off back to Gran Canaria on the 28th for the guts of two weeks. It will be good to get away to sunnier climes for a bit.
