The Chancellor

Today Heriot-Watt installed its new Chancellor. This only happens every 7 years, so it was a pretty big deal! Robert Buchan seems nice, his speech was lovely; talking about his humble roots in Rosyth to becoming a very wealthy man in the mining industry.

We sang the National Anthem as part of the ceremony and I had to stop myself making the guiding salute, the two just go hand in hand for me. Clearly once a guider, always a guider!
