Sometimes only the skyline will do

Another day with tough news to deal with. Nothing we can do now, but the future does look a bit bleak, unless something changes.

But at least all the meetings were quite straightforward, so that's always a good thing, and that included a nice meeting with an undergraduate dissertation student with whom I'll be working this year.

Later on there was a lecture, and afterwards I went for dinner with JM, who is such a source of help and guidance.
