STRIKE A POSE
We went to Barrow Hospital today for Hubby's appointment. Arrived super early, which is normal for us, because you can never be sure with the traffic. No problem with parking today, the car park was only half full!!!!
Anyway we had just had a coffee and was settling down to have a couple of munchies for lunch when we were called over. Mr Calvey, the Surgeon saw us 40 minutes EARLY. My goodness what great service that is.
Hubby will be having Endovascular Surgery (keyhole) to repair the aneurysm sometime in October. We either wait a week or so for a letter, or there is a chance that he could be called to come with just 48 hours notice!!! So again it's just a waiting game. It will be done at Preston and we will have to arrive early morning apparently. Suits us actually as we prefer to get going rather than hang about all day. He will be in hospital or a couple of days, maybe a little more, then that should be it.
My heart is in my mouth but at least things are moving. Can't grumble at the service so far. Apparently though aneurysm's, when they reach a certain stage have to be treated urgently.
G is going to come down next week to be here just ready. Of course next week all the overtime bans and strikes take place so hopefully we can get over that. If need be I will drive to Edinburgh and pick him up.
Now when we were in Leighton Moss earlier this week we bought two half coconuts to encourage the birds on the feeders. We see that one of them has been pecked quite a bit but we can't seem to see any on it yet, so it will have to a shot again on the normal feeder.
That's all from me for today. Do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow
