Wild Wednesday ...

... on the run.

With the sun setting earlier and earlier we will be having to get in our walks either before supper or at lunch time.

Today we opted to walk at lunch.  And Housenick Memorial park was our destination as it's the closest to the house ... and just happens to be one of our favorite haunts. 

Walking along we encountered three white-tailed deer eating some apples under the trees.  They must not have liked our encounter as they all fled away rather quickly!  I managed to capture two as they disappeared into the thicket ... including the youngest one.  She is still sporting her Bambi spots.   Please view full screen.

Thank you for the well wishes yesterday for my BIL.  Joe went into surgery (bypass) this morning at around 8:00 am EDT.  The surgery was supposed to take 4-5 hours but lasted much longer.  He wasn't sent to recovery until after 3:00 pm EDT!  And my sister wasn't able to see him until just before 6pm.  What a long day for both of them.  But thankfully he is doing well ... and that's all we can ask.
