An Elephant on the Path

We are saddened to hear the news about the Sycamore tree at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's Wall.  I'm increasingly dismayed at the mindless actions of hopefully a small number of folks.  Why would you??  

Our electricity was due to be off this morning so we headed out to Danefield so I could take terrain photos for the publicity for an event to be held there next year.  We had a pleasant walk and then decided to have lunch at Leathley Farm Shop so we need not cook an evening meal.  On the way home we called in to pick up some light bulbs in Otley and I needed no excuse to drop by the toyshop to check out their jigsaws.  I am a big Ravensburger fan and was surprised that their stock was winding down.  Apparently, Ravensburger have opened their own shop near York and are selling their jigsaws much more cheaply, so the toyshop owner has made the decision not to stock them any more.
