Lilac sun

This is what the sun looked like as I drove southwards to Craignure this morning but by 10.30am it had reverted back to its more usual colour. I later found out that this unusual colouring was visible in several locations across Scotland and was the result of high clouds in advance of the next weather front, mixed with particles from the smoke of the Canadian wildfires. I haven’t messed with the colour at all, just zoomed in on the lilac sun.
It was quite a grey sky for much of the day but with the breeze it was pleasant out in the garden doing a bit more tidying up for a couple of hours in the afternoon. The weather front bearing rain arrived about 4.30 just as Bertie and I were returning home from our walk. Good timing.
