Today’s blip solved
Firstly, thank you to all the lovely Blippers who so kindly commented and sprinkled stars and hearts for my 1,000th Blip. It’s so nice being part of such a wonderful, interesting, encouraging and caring community. I appreciate you all.
We were late getting up … again, therefore late having breakfast, but I managed to get the washing on the line just after 10am because the forecast was for rain this afternoon. It dried nicely in the sunshine and breeze. The rain didn’t eventuate other than a few drops for about a minute. However, the wind did get very strong and it wasn’t pleasant to be out in it.
Our lovely Blipper friend, Mima, and her equally lovely dog, Bean, popped in for coffee late morning and, as usual, we had a most interesting natter. It was a very pleasant interlude.
Mima and Bean had not long left when MrMacD received a phone call from Dave at Sheetmetal Specialists asking if we were home and would we like him to bring up the stainless steel top he’s made to go over the wooden bench top on the kitchen island. Whilst the wooden one is very nice, it’s a bit too “precious” to use for lots of kitchen tasks, so the stainless steel one is now sitting on top and can be removed in the future if necessary. We’re very pleased with it.
I did a little bit of painting but it was so windy and all sorts of dust and bits and pieces were blowing in making it quite difficult to paint. Tomorrow we’ll put a big drop sheet down inside and finish painting the pieces away from the wind and dust.
Just before 5:30pm a beautiful rainbow appeared and disappeared just as quickly. The rainbow and the new bench top are today’s blip.
