It was really rather cold today, splitting these logs and stacking them ready for next winter warmed me up nicely at lunch time.

Well, since then there has been a steady stream of lorries turning up at my cottage assuming it to be an Amazon Distribution Centre!!!

Today I decided action was needed and tried to find contact details for the Hemel Hempstead Amazon. Like so many internet based businesses, there are no contact details available. After 40 minutes of googling and 118ing I was no closer, so I went into my own rarely used amazon account and found the customer services enquiry form. I clicked on 'other' for each option that presented itself to me and then wrote a summary of the frustration I've experienced with helping lost truckers.

Congratulation to Amazon for responding with an email from a real person within 2 hours, apologising for the inconvenience caused and saying they would look into it and update me within 5 days...... Watch this space.

In a way I hope it doesn't get resolved, as I rather like the eclectic mix of drivers knocking at my door... along with the comments from the locals.
Once the landlord from the local stopped his car, wound down the window and shouted " You don't want to go in there, the last driver wasn't seen for 3 days!!"
