Tradition
Woke early but then went back to sleep til after 8, so a bit of a mad scramble to get some breakfast and pack up the rest of our stuff so we could leave about 9. The drive went fairly smoothly but on the first stretch after the bridge we went through incredibly heavy rain-absolutely pelted down and low cloud so we didn’t see much of the scenery for a while!
Coffee at the Chocolate of Glenshiel place then gradually the weather improved as we drove east.
Stopped for steak pie lunch at House of Bruar and had a wander round the sale barn but no boots or shoes really so we didn’t buy anything. Last stretch spent listening to Ivor Cutler and then Karine Polwart, talking of our various preferences, habits and predelictions, then once home we carried everything up to the flat and had a cup of tea.
A slow evening with G&Ky watching the rugby and me reading.
