The Merry Go Round…

… in the Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris. A perfect afternoon to wander in the French capital. We walked from our hotel at the Gare de Lyon to the Eiffel Tower and back, mostly along the Seine and via the rebuilding works at Notre Dame. I’ve wanted to visit these gardens ever since reading Rilke’s poem about the carousel there. Delightful to see that it’s still there, being as much enjoyed by children as in 1906 :-) The picture is blurry because the carousel is moving.
