Who'd a thunk it?

WE three had one of our garden centre runs.  "Up to yet" say "Mahonia" and most of us would conjure up a Holly-shaped, prickly, leaf - until today, twice.
     Once here, with a two-tone flower I hadn't sense to ID plus the one immediately beside it; of which I'd have said - "Well, it looks similar to a Parlour Palm; but not similar enough to be one." I had to search "Parlour Palm" of course and - it did, closely, resemble the flowers of the one which flowered one for us several years back. Again, like a grade A pillock I didn't ID it; or more accurately I forgot its ID, having read it to establish "Mahonia"
