Brief encounter

The prettiest flowers of summer always seem so fleeting, but perhaps that is what makes them even more special? The lilac that was blipped a couple of times recently is browning off already, and this is the last, lonely aquilegia ('Granny's Bonnet') in the pots outside the house.
