Burrishoole Abbey
We had such a long, packed day that I had no time to blip.
I may add more to the commentary later.
We were very lucky to have good weather with only a few (sharp) showers.
Our first stop was Burrishoole Abbey. There is a very large graveyard here which provided added interest.
Along the coast and onto Achill Island for most of the day. The kitesurfers were out in force for the last weekend of the season. See extra.
There were views from high cliffs of marvellous rock formations, small quiet beaches, mud flats and an abandoned village.
We stayed out all day to make the most of the weather.
At a small harbour we found shrimp fishermen. See extra.
