Upgraded Welcome?

On arrival the hotel asked us to accept a one-night upgrade from our apartment to the hotel itself and threw in dinner and breakfast as compensation. Strange folk that we are, we choose self-catering rather than hotel, for the freedom. However, in a newly refurbished bedroom with this view of the bay, and still with our afternoon by the poolside at our apartment, and our eeeenormous G&T on the terrace right next to the sea, we haven't anything to complain about really!
