True romance?

Today’s our 28th wedding anniversary - and it’ll be thirty-one years tomorrow since we met. Instead of a romantic day out, getting flowers or going out for a special dinner, I’ve spent most of the day putting everything back where it should be now that the upstairs floors are done.

Luckily, the ‘where it should be’ for much of our stuff is either a charity shop, the dump or in neatly stacked boxes in the garage. I can’t believe how much space there is in our tiny house now that most of the junk is gone. The floors look much nicer in real life than in my photo and although I didn’t want them done, I have to admit it’s a lot better than our old, manky carpet.

As for our anniversary, we never really make any fuss over it. We’ve actually both completely forgotten about it a few times but I like to think that’s because every day’s special! :-D
