Look at that!!

That’s the Nile that is! The view from my hotel room- rubbish because they have locked all the balconies as they are painting about six floors down but nonetheless the Nile! I’m in Cairo for the week with my mum and sister, retracing our lives in the late 70s/ early 80s. Our school was just round the corner from our hotel.

Too early start but good flight, everything went v smoothly. I read a whole book on the plane. Got to the hotel about 6, for over excited about everything. Had a meal in the beautifully warm evening, lost all remaining energy. Looking forward to top night sleep before exploring tomorrow. No energy aside, am well excited for this holiday.
